Spatiotemporal trends of temperature extremes in Bangladesh under changing climate using multi-statistical techniques

چکیده
The rise in the frequency and magnitude of extreme temperature phenomena across globe has led to recurrent incidence global climate hazards, which have had severe effects on socioeconomic development. daily maximum minimum datasets 27 sites Bangladesh were used detect spatiotemporal trends extremes over during 1980–2017 based ten indices using multi-statistical modeling namely linear regression, Pearson correlation coefficient, factor analyses. Besides, mutation analyses Mann-Kendall test, Sen’s slope estimator, Pettit test employed show changing trend temperature. Results that except for warmest days, warm showed an increasing trend, mainly since 2000s, while growth rate was faster, response warming sensitive. cold demonstrated a reverse 2010s. Diurnal range (DTR) summer days (SU) increased implying rising speed max higher than min-temperature Bangladesh. de-trended fluctuation analysis (DFA) revealed continuous increase future days. probability distribution functions (PDF) evident variation curves recent decades compared past three decades. Besides night, DTR SU primarily control general study period. occurred before index, indicating more sensitive warming. recognized our research suggest elevated due may huge implications sustainable development forthcoming

Rainfall-triggered slope instabilities under a changing climate: comparative study using historical and projected precipitation extremes
This study aims to quantitatively assess the impact of extreme precipitation events under current and future climate scenarios on landslides. Rainfall-triggered landslides are analyzed primarily using extreme precipitation estimates, derived using the so-called stationary assumption (i.e., statistics of extreme events will not vary significantly over a long period of time). However, extreme pre...
متن کاملPrecipitation Extremes Under Climate Change
The response of precipitation extremes to climate change is considered using results from theory, modeling, and observations, with a focus on the physical factors that control the response. Observations and simulations with climate models show that precipitation extremes intensify in response to a warming climate. However, the sensitivity of precipitation extremes to warming remains uncertain w...
متن کاملExtremes of temperature, oxygen and blooms in the Baltic sea in a changing climate.
In the future, the Baltic Sea ecosystem will be impacted both by climate change and by riverine and atmospheric nutrient inputs. Multi-model ensemble simulations comprising one IPCC scenario (A1B), two global climate models, two regional climate models, and three Baltic Sea ecosystem models were performed to elucidate the combined effect of climate change and changes in nutrient inputs. This st...
متن کاملEvaluation of trends in high temperature extremes in north-western Europe in regional climate models
Projections of future changes in weather extremes on the regional and local scale depend on a realistic representation of trends in extremes in regional climate models (RCMs). We have tested this assumption for moderate high temperature extremes (the annual maximum of the daily maximum 2 m temperature, Tann.max). Linear trends in Tann.max from historical runs of 14 RCMs driven by atmospheric re...
متن کاملChanging trends in characteristics of infantile hydronephrosis
Background : Hydronephrosis (HN) or calycial dilatation is the most common prenatal urologic abnormality. The aim of this study was to identify the possible changes in demographic and clinical manifestations of infantile HN in previously and recently diagnosed patients. Methods : 193 children with infantile HN admitted to Ali-asghar Children's Hospital in two different periods (group 1 1997...
